a. Core material: both laminate and SPC flooring consist of 4 layers but the material of each layer is different especially the core material. The core material of laminate floor is high density fiberboard(HDF). SPC is stone plastic composite which made of limestone and dense PVC plastic material.
b. Water resistance
Laminate floor is made of wood fiber so it is susceptible to water or moisture. SPC floor is 100% water-resistant and it can be used in the wet areas kind of bathrooms or laundry areas.
c. Thickness
The average thickness of laminate floor is 8mm or 12mm while the popular thickness of SPC is 4mm, 5mm and 6mm.
The minimum quantity is one 20FT container (capacity of 8mm is around 2800 square meters, 12mm is around 2000 square meters. ). It can mix maximum 4 colors in each container.
The delivery time of laminate floor is around 30 days as soon as we receive the deposit. The production time of SPC floor is 25 days.
Most of laminate floorings are suitable for underfloor heating. It’s better for us to check with the flooring manufacturer before installing the underfloor heating system. Different types of laminate flooring have different thermal properties. Choosing the laminate flooring with superior quality is better for underfloor heating.
Compared to the ceramic tiles, it is a good choice to install waterproof laminate floor in the bathroom if you would like to enjoy the appearance and the warm touch of hardwood. It is easy to maintain and retain heat much better than ceramic.
The water expansion rate of normal laminate floor is required less than 18% with EN13329 standard. Now we provide the waterproof laminate floor which expansion rate less than 5%. Please take a view of the video to learn about the test information.(
